- This video work explores the encounter between a person from 2025 and an inhabitant of Doggerland — a vanished prehistoric land between the Netherlands and England, now submerged beneath the North Sea.
Accompanied visual work; A Place of Solace / A Point of Frustration
The piece depicts two people separated by vast time and lacking a shared language. The scene allows space for frustration and misunderstanding, while the discovery of a mutual calm becomes a precious exchange — a lesson in fundaments and the knowledge of the natural world: plants, nuts, and fruits that once shaped the Doggerland landscape.
Through this encounter, I expose the limits of language, shared experience, and nature as a possible bridge between different times and worlds.
